Information about Master Thesis

In the following some information are listed, that need to be considered if you want to write a Master thesis at the Chair of Organization Theory and Design. For information on the formal process and the application of admission please refer to the website of the Examination Office of the Faculty of Economics and Social Sciences.
 

If you have decided to write your Master thesis at the Chair of Organization Theory and Design and you have also achieved sufficient credit points, please arrange a consultation appointment with Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c Joachim Wolf through the secretariat of the chair. Appointments can be arranged during the opening hours of the secretariat.

The assigned topics of the master thesis are largely theory-based and fall within the research areas of the Chair of Organization Theory and Design. It is also possible to make a topic proposal. In this case please use the following form.

Practically orientated master theses in cooperation with companies are announced separately and require an application (letter and transcript of results). The application shall clearly identify the motivation and qualification for the subject.

The following titles of master thesis are provided exemplarily:

  • Internationale Unternehmensakquisitionen durch Chinesische Unternehmen – Entwicklung, Ursachen sowie Auswirkungen auf die betroffenen Zielunternehmen sowie Gastländer
  • Die Bedeutung begrenzter Rationalität für die Führung multinationaler Unternehmen
  • Programme, Verfahren und Instrumente des Nachhaltigkeits-Managements bei der Deutschen Bank
  • Gründe für die Heimatregionorientierung deutscher Großunternehmen
  • Prominente Konzepte der zeitgenössischen Organisationswissenschaft - Inhalt und Ansätze zu ihrer empirischen Erfassung
  • Aufgabenverteilung zwischen der Unternehmenszentrale und den Regionalzentralen multinationaler Unternehmen
  • Auswirkungen unterschiedlicher Organisationsstrukturen auf die Mitarbeiterzufriedenheit
